Interim Budget confirms new GST from April 2010

The government yesterday presented its 2009 Interim Budget. The Budget did not contain any announcements related to changes in tax rates. However, the Government confirmed its intention to introduce the new Goods and Services Tax (GST) with effect from 1 April 2010.
