Comments required by 15 February on withdrawal of General Preferential Tariff (GPT) treatment

The Federal Government is proposing to withdraw General Preferential Tariff Treatment (GPT) from 72 jurisdictions on 14 July 2014. Businesses may pay more duty on goods they import from countries that lose GPT status. Affected businesses are invited to send comments to the Department of Finance by 15 February 2013.
